CHARLIE GRAS 2025 feat. Charlie Gabriel & Friends It’s Charlie Gras time! Join us at in celebrating Mr. Charlie Gabriel’s 93rd birthday with performances by Charlie Gabriel and Friends. Master clarinetist, saxophonist, vocalist and bandleader Charlie Gabriel has lived an incredible life in music. From parading the streets of New Orleans with the Eureka Brass Band as an 11-year-old boy during World War II, recording with countless Motown artists through the 50s and 60s, performing with legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Tony Bennett, traveling the world with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band since 2006, and releasing his album ‘89’ in 2022, Mr. Gabriel has spent the past eight decades nurturing his gift of music. Wherever he goes, he brings music – and like his signature sign-off – “peace and love.” Happy birthday, Mr. Gabriel!
